SKHY Premium Methodology: ADR Fair Value Formula and Data Timing
The calculator translates Korea-listed SK Hynix shares into a comparable USD value per SKHY ADS, using the official ratio of 10 ADS to one ordinary share.
Core formulas
ADR premium = SKHY price ÷ parity value per ADS − 1
Implied Korea share price = SKHY price × USD/KRW × 10
USD/KRW direction
USD/KRW is Korean won per US dollar. A KRW price is converted to USD by dividing by USD/KRW, then divided by 10 because 10 ADS = 1 Korean ordinary share.
Worked example
Example inputs, not current quotes: 000660 = KRW 2,000,000; USD/KRW = 1,400; SKHY = USD 150.
Premium = 150 ÷ 142.8571 − 1 = +5.00%
Implied Korea price = 150 × 1,400 × 10 = KRW 2,100,000
Timing and missing data
Nasdaq and KRX generally do not overlap. Each displayed result compares the shown observations, which may have different timestamps. Closed-market values retain their original time. If SKHY, 000660, or USD/KRW is missing or invalid, the result should be unavailable rather than estimated.
Precision and data sources
Calculations use unrounded positive numeric inputs; rounding is for display. Source availability and delay can change, so the site uses “Latest” unless the displayed source and session support a stronger label.
